Ashfire padded through Carrion place in search for food. He hadn't been gone from Iceclan long, but was more relieved every day. In BloodClan, he had freedom and nobody dared oppose him, except of course Rogue and occasionaly Blade. He padded through, warry of the many rats and other creatures of the night. Dusk was a lovely time of night, but he took no notice of the beautiful landscape. The overwhelming smell of rats nearly covered the fresh smell of mouse, his senses were keen, but not many cats could smell through the powerfull stench. He stalked the plump creature through the small space and when he got near enough, he leaped onto it and bit it's neck carelessy. A moment later, a rat leaped out of the pile of rubbish. He raised a giant paw and beat it's head into the ground. It squeeked under his paw until he had had enough and bit it too on the neck. Though BloodClan was great, nothing could beat the taste of a freshly caught vole or starling. He sighed and turned in the direction of the make-shift camp. He hated living in BloodClan, but he didn't really have any other options. He sat there a moment thought about the feel of his own mother's blood on his paws. It sent shivers down his spine, but he had liked it and still did!

Broken padded toward the Carrion place, making her mak a digusted face because of all the stench. She couldn't believe that she had to hunt here, where was Shatter when you needed her, she was a way better hunt than Broken was. She sighed, and kept walking, and almost not seeing Ashfire, she ran right into him.

Ashfire looked up and scowled at her "Watch where your going! He sighed. Though it was BloodClan, it still had the bare essentials of a clan and he noted that any clan had to be able to work together to some extent. "Sorry I snapped at you." He leaned down to picked up his mouse and the rat, but stopped. "Do you want to go for hunt?"

Ashfire laughed to himself when the cat twisted her face from the smell. It was true that Carrion place smelled terrible, but it was one of the best placed to hunt, if you like rats. "Let's go to the small forest, rats are good, but nothing beats a young squirrel or plump vole. I just have to go and bury this prey and I'll be right back."

Broken nodded her small head, it was way better than the Carrion place. She waited for Ashfire, pretty ecited that she got to hunt in the small forest!

Ashfire returned and noticed her practically shaking where she stood. "Have you ever been to the small forest?" He asked, knowing the answer. "It's full of normal prey and unlike the rest of BloodClan, it is a great place to lay in the sun and be alone, if you want. I've gone there allot recently. After all, IceClan is close to there," he said, realizing his mistake, he immediately added, "Good place to spy on your enemies."

Broken stared at Ashfire, her eyes full of curiousity, "Oh, really?" She asked, "I was born in RockClan, but its nothing to me now." She muttered, her eyes cold.

Ashfire wished he had her confidence. He missed sharing tongues with his clan-mates and eating fresh-kill that tasted as it should. He dare not show signs of weakness in BloodClan, but he couldn't help missing the traditions and closeness of the clan cats. No, he thought, he could never go back after what e had done. Though it hadn't been on purpose, he had just lost control of his emotions and tried to do what he found best for the clan. Unfortunately, that had involved killing his own mother. He twitched his ear and led the patrol of two to the small forest.
(OOC: I think it would be okay if we just continued on this thread instead of starting a new one in the Small Forest section.

{{Yeah, lol}}
Broken stared at Ashfire, and followed the tom to the small forest. "Me and Scatter were from there." She said, trying to start some conversation. She thought hunting was fun, but conversations were fun too!

Ashfire had hardly heard her, but got the basic message. "Yeah, what did you like to hunt?" His thoughts whirled, but he tried hard to concentrate at their conversation.

Broken thought, "voles, they were the best." She mewed, remembering the times she was in RockClan and would hunt with her sister. She missed though days, but she was a loyal BloodClan cat now.

Ashfire thought about it a moment, "Voles 'hun?" He continued through the small forest. "I challenge you to a hunting contest, first to catch two voles wins. If you find any other prey though, don't hesitate, BloodClan kind of need it at the moment.This should be fun." He said dashing off.

Broken nodded her head, "Sure!" Then dashed off to find some voles, her eyes open for any voles.

Ashfire charged through the trees, alert for any signs of prey. He ran on and on until he reached the edge of the forest. He stared into IceClan territory. He paused for a moment, then turned and padded back to fins prey. When the smell of starling became stronger, he followed it to the base of a tree and proceeded to climb. After a while, he noticed the bird, near the top. "Just my luck". As uncoordinated as he was in trees, he had good eyesight and had spotted the creature quickly. Luckily, it was in jumping distance. He bunched up the muscles in his legs and gave a mighty leap to the other branch. He dropped onto the bird's back and bit it's neck. Suddenly, his leg slipped and he found himself plummeting to the forest floor. In a desperate last attempt, he extended his paws to grasp a branch. His paws caught a small branch which snapped shortly after. He dropped the bird and swung himself around. This time, his long, sharp claws found a branch that could sustain his weight. He pulled himself up and looked down at the short distance remaining. "So close!" He meowed to himself angrily. Ashfire jumped down the remainder of the distance and instead of burying the bird, he brought it with him.
